	Vine cottage is ideally situated in the small village of La Faye, approximately a mile from the larger town of Ruffec in the heart of the Poitou-Charente region. This cottage is in an ideal location for making the most of the area’s many attractions, including historical Cognac, the beaches near La Rochelle and Futuroscope at Poitiers.
This recently renovated traditional French cottage is situated in the Charente region, Western France. This pretty, stone, 3 bedroomed cottage, with south facing garden is located in the small village of La Faye, Ruffec. It is in an ideal position for anyone wanting to make the most of the Poitou-Charente region. The exposed wooden beams have been restored throughout the cottage to give it that authentic French feel. This property will sleep 5 people, comprising 1 double and 1 twin room and a single room all of which are located next to the luxurious bathroom. Linen and towels are provided. It is ideal for couples and small families. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, hob and oven and the traditional wood burner is centrally positioned near the dining area. The comfortably furnished living room is an ideal place for relaxing after those long summer days spent visiting the surrounding area or soaking up the sun in the private garden. Staying in this holiday cottage not only gives you the opportunity of tasting the traditional French lifestyle, but it is only a 2 minute drive from the town of Ruffec, where a good selection of shops, café-bars, restaurants and the local leisure centre can be found. This property is just a 20 minute drive from the larger town of Angouleme and Lac de Lavaud (an inland lake where people can walk, swim or picnic), less than an hours drive from Poitiers and Futuroscope (France’s 2nd largest attraction) and the famous Cognac vineyards. An approximate 1 ½ hour drive will take you to the port of La Rochelle and it’s surrounding beaches.
This property is also available for longer term winter lets. It is particularly suitable for people who are looking to buy property in the region and would make an ideal place to stay, whilst hunting for your own French property. The reduced winter rental fee is £400 per month plus bills. (Available for winter lets Oct to mid-May) It would also suit artists and those just wishing to get away from it all for a few weeks!
