| Downstairs is a large living room with open views, a wood-burning stove, sofa bed, dining area and kitchen. Upstairs is a large bedroom with double and single beds, lounge area with a view of the gardens and open countryside; shower room/ WC. Ideal for two, it can sleep four.
The cottage is set outside the courtyard which leads to the main house, in large gardens with panoramic views of rolling countryside and woodland, looking west to the chateau of Villebois Lavalette, and south to the Dordogne. It is an area of quiet, unspoiled charm with a wonderful sunny climate and friendly people.
Activities available in the area include a public swimming pool, walking, cycling and fishing. St. Emilion and Cognac, Perigeux, Bergerac and Poitiers are within easy reach, also many charming market towns. Fresh baguettes and croissants are easy to obtain for breakfast!
The garden belongs to the main house but has full access from the gite. Around the gite are picnic and barbecue areas with privacy and open views of the Charente and Dordogne.
All linen and towels are provided, also sunloungers, picnic furniture, ironing board, iron and vacum cleaner. This property is NOT suitable for disabled people as it has stairs to the WC, shower room and bedroom. Also there is a low beam betwen the bedroom and shower room.
