Estragon (Friday to Friday) forms part of Les Granges, originally a Benedictine farm, which rests in gentle Cognac countryside in the department of Charente-Maritime (17), next to the River Boutonne, with lake, beach bar, gardens, excellent fishing, pedaloes, indoor swimming complex. |
| Across the river lies the medieval town of St Jean d’Angély, with its bustling market, shops, bars & restaurants. Over the past ten years we have converted our two courtyards of XVIIth C stone barns, with their splendid oak beams, into 16 delightfully individual cottages, each containing all the essentials for a really relaxing holiday:
Lounge area with a three-piece suite, coffee table & satellite TV point. Fitted kitchen with oven & hob, ceramic sink/drainer, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle and toaster, dishwasher and washing machine.
Dining area with farmhouse furniture. Three bedrooms - a double, twin, small single plus a full-size bunkset in a landing alcove. Upstairs bath/shower room with WC. 2nd WC.
In the mews with its own patio, separated by cartwheels with B-B-Q, parasol, table & chairs. Linen & towels incl. swimming towels are provided - beds made up. Cots and high-chairs available.
